Posted on

Important questions that arose during an ASCRS webinar entitled “Know Your Tools/Toy Box: Preoperative Diagnostics” were highlighted in a recent article. Among the queries addressed:

  • What is the difference between axial curvature and instantaneous curvature?
  • With the Pentacam, which Ks are used for astigmatism management in cataract surgery, toric or LRI?
  • Is it ever appropriate to use manual Ks?
  • What are your experiences with surgeon-specific biometry such as the Hill-RBF? How do your transition from your usual go-to calculations to the program?
