ASCRS changes date of 2021 meeting
The 2021 American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) meeting has been rescheduled from April to August, according to a statement from ASCRS.
The meeting will now be new held August 13-17 in San Francisco, CA.
“This decision was thoroughly researched and discussed, and when weighed against the risks of possibly losing another meeting to the coronavirus, we felt we had no other alternative than to move our meeting. This decision provides an additional 4 months of runway for a vaccine to not only be approved, but to be available and administered,” the statement said.
In addition, ASCRS has canceled the 2020 Summer Symposium in Austin, TX that was scheduled for August.
