How Is the Trump Administration’s Plan to Lower Drug Prices Going?

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has released a report, “100 Days of Action on the American Patient First Blueprint,” and a factsheet about the Trump Administration’s drug price blueprint. The report notes that: 

  • 15 drug companies responded to the Trump blueprint. 
  • 2 have lowered the cost of prescription drugs.
  • 13 committed to price freezes for the remainder of 2018.
  • 4 canceled planned price increases.
