Coronavirus Not Likely Spread Through Tears

A new study published in Ophthalmology, offered evidence that it is unlikely patients effected with COVID-19 shed the virus through their tears.
The study analyzed tear samples of 17 patients with COVD-19 from the onset of symptoms to recovery, approximately 20 days later. The virus was not detected in viral culture or reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).
