Roomasa Channa
Roomasa Channa, MD is an Assistant Professor and co-Director of the Artificial Intelligence Unit
in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She completed
her ophthalmology residency followed by vitreoretinal surgical fellowship at the Johns Hopkins
Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She is an NEI funded clinician-scientist with a research focus
on leveraging automated retinal image analysis techniques to identify early retinal changes and
prevent vision loss among patients with diabetes.
