Strax Networks launches AI-powered AR platform that turns real-world objects into interactive media channels
Strax Networks has launched a new augmented reality (AR) communication platform that uses artificial intelligence to transform everyday objects into dynamic digital channels. With a smartphone scan, users can access instant video content and engage in real-time AI conversations tailored to their language and context.
The patented platform recognizes physical objects such as product packaging, medical discharge folders, brochures, menus, or museum artifacts. Each scan streams a contextual video and then offers either a redirect to a brand-selected website or an interactive “Ask Strax” AI dialogue that responds to questions in any language.
According to the company, administrators can update content, messaging, and AI tone in seconds through the Strax Enterprise Control Platform, with changes deployed globally in real time. Strax says the system offers organizations a new way to distribute personalized information while maintaining control of messaging and compliance.
Healthcare applications
Strax Networks said the platform could improve patient engagement by turning prescription bottles, discharge packets, and hospital signage into on-demand educational tools. Patients can scan items to access instructions, care plans, or telehealth services in their preferred language.
“StraxAR’s new AI integration has the potential to transform how patients, visitors, and staff engage with vital information—simply by scanning the world around them,” said Dr. Matthew Marano, founder and surgeon at Marano Eye Care Centers. “From medication bottles to hospital signage, every object becomes a smart access point to guidance, education, and support in real time.”
The company says similar tools could help hospitals reduce readmissions by improving patient understanding of post-care instructions.
