Optometry Meeting 2022 helps students, residents jumpstart career

Ophthalmology 360

The American Optometric Association (AOA) and the American Optometric Student Association’s (AOSA) Optometry’s Meeting 2022 will provide insight and mentorship into the field for students and residents interested in joining optometry.

The meeting is being held, June 15-18 in Chicago.

A number of sessions and events have been designed with prospective optometrists in mind, including the AOSA Optometry Student Bowl XXXI which will test the optometric knowledge of students from different colleges, and the AOA+ Leadership Link session which allows students to ask questions in small groups with seasoned optometrists.

A number of courses are recommended for student attendees as they transition into the working world, ranging in topics from preparing financially for life after college to building a digital brand. Other more clinical topics, such as understanding glaucoma and the importance of precision medicine, round out the meeting.

For more information, visit the Optometry’s Meeting website.
