Alison D. Early

Alison D. Early, MD is a cataract surgeon and comprehensive ophthalmologist at the Cincinnati Eye Institute. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biopsychology at the University of Cincinnati, followed by her Medical Doctorate at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She completed her ophthalmology residency at The Ohio State University Havener Eye Institute, wherein her final year she was recognized by her peers as a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Early specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of eye disease including cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye, diabetes, macular degeneration, and more. She is pleased to offer advanced technology intraocular lens implants for cataract surgery as well as minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries. Her professional interests also include ergonomics and repetitive strain injuries in eye care providers, as well as issues facing women and mothers in the workplace. She has been invited to speak on these and other topics at many local and national meetings and has authored several written pieces published in various ophthalmology print journals. Dr. Early enjoys spending time outside of work with her husband and children.
