Usiwoma Abugo

Dr. Abugo currently practices Orbital and Facial Cosmetic Surgery in Maryland and is the director of Oculoplastics and Aesthetics at Katzen Eye Medical Group. Through her journey to this point in her career she has never been able to forget her mentors. Because of this,

Dr. Abugo has created an active social media mentoring platform under @MentorMeMD where she mentors many healthcare professionals. Through the AAO/AUPO/MOM program, she avidly mentors the next generation.

Dr. Abugo has guided trainees of all levels who have dreams for excellence in medicine. In ophthalmology. Dr. Abugo has served on various program committees for WIO, NMA, and AAO. In addition to this has served as the chair for the 2021 WIO Summer Symposium and is on the Board of Directors for Women in Ophthalmology.

Dr. Abugo also serves as an oral board examiner and article exam question writer for the American Board of Ophthalmology.
