Iantrek secures $42M to advance AlloFlo™ Uveo glaucoma therapy
Iantrek, Inc has secured $42 million in Series C funding to support the U.S. launch of AlloFlo™ Uveo, a novel interventional therapy that opens surgical access to the uveoscleral drainage pathway for glaucoma patients, according to a company press release.
AlloFlo™ Uveo utilizes the uveoscleral pathway, unlike conventional minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries that target the trabecular outflow, offering new treatment options for the estimated 2.5 million U.S. eyes no longer responding to traditional approaches.
Two-year clinical data published in Ophthalmology Science show a 34% reduction in intraocular pressure and more than 60% reduction in medication use, with no serious product-related adverse events. To date, about 3,000 procedures have been performed through an early access program.
Company leaders and investors described the technology as a breakthrough with strong surgeon demand and the potential to transform glaucoma care.
