Optos launches Silverstone RGB, expanding retinal imaging capabilities

Ophthalmology 360

Optos has launched Silverstone RGB, a next-generation ultra-widefield retinal imaging platform combining 9 imaging modalities in a single device, according to a press release. The system builds on the company’s Silverstone technology to enhance clinical evaluation of retinal disease.

Masayuki Numako, Director and Executive Vice President at Nikon Europe BV, said the platform offers “a transformative step forward” with 200-degree optomap imaging, accurate true-color capture, and advanced swept-source OCT, enabling faster and more confident assessments.

Silverstone RGB’s modalities include true-color optomap RGB, fluorescein and indocyanine green angiography, red-free and choroidal imaging, green and blue autofluorescence, and swept-source OCT, covering all retinal layers.

The system debuts at the American Academy of Ophthalmology Annual Meeting in Orlando on October 18, 2025, and is immediately available in direct markets.
