Learn the ‘secrets’ to real world success at new conference for young ophthalmologists

Now in its third year, the Real World Ophthalmology educational conference will share the “secrets” to success young ophthalmologists need to know to thrive in early practice.

With more than 70 seasoned speakers, attendees have the unique experience to gain real-world insight from leaders in the field through sessions focused on new clinical innovations, ophthalmology business aspects, and areas of personal development, such as presentation skills and patient communication.

The virtual conference, “Tell Me Your Secrets…,” will take place on Saturday, April 15, and offer a full day of sessions, including Diagnoses Not to Miss as an Early Career Ophthalmologists highlighting important diagnoses and pearls of practice, Building Your Practice Early On focusing on marketing yourself and practice, and Tell Me Your Secrets About Jobs discussing navigating the job market and succeeding in various fields.

During the Keynote “Ask Me Anything” segment, Dr. Stephen McLeod, CEO of the American Academy of Ophthalmology will answer questions while in the ‘hot seat.’ The meeting will also feature a Fireside Chat with the Director of the National Eye Institute, Dr. Michael Chiang, focused on his “secrets” to success in ophthalmology and what advice he has for young ophthalmologists entering the clinical and research world today
