Focus will be on discussion during condensed format ASRS virtual meeting

The American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS) annual meeting kicks off on July 24-26 and will be held in an entirely virtual format.

In an effort to limit “zoom-fatigue,” ASRS made all podium talks available prior to the start of the meeting and has encouraged attendees to view them in advance. This will allow the live meeting to consist of discussion with the presenters.

Since the panel discussions are always a good way to address salient points of the paper, the decision was made to make the virtual meeting all discussions with the attendees being able to submit questions that will be fielded by the moderators,” explained Judy Kim, MD, executive committee member, ASRS.

Attendees can also expect a condensed format, allowing for “the most pertinent points and questions on each paper,” to be discussed, according to Philip Ferrone, MD, program chair, in a letter to members.

The meeting times are as follows:

Friday, July 24th from 6 pm (ET) to 9:00 pm (ET)

Saturday, July 25th from 10 am (ET) to 2:30 pm (ET)

Sunday, July 26th 10 am (ET) to 2:00 pm (ET)
