Jim Mazzo Retiring from Zeiss

Jim Mazzo will retire from Zeiss on May 1 where he is the president of ophthalmic devices and head of the ophthalmic devices strategic business unit, according to a company press release.

Mazzo has over 40 years’ experience in the ophthalmic industry and will continue to serve as an advisory to Zeiss.

Mazzo’s position will be filled by Euan Thomson, PhD, who currently leads the company’s digital business unit.
