Topcon Healthcare partners with RemoniHealth on remote eye care

Topcon Healthcare, Inc announced a commercial partnership with RemoniHealth to expand remote care management and AI-enabled monitoring for ocular disease, in a press release. The collaboration supports Topcon Healthcare’s tele-eyecare strategy as primary care eye screening and remote care models continue to expand.
RemoniHealth has developed an enterprise platform that combines home-based diagnostic and monitoring tests with a principal care management service designed for ophthalmology and optometry. The platform connects eye care providers, care managers, and patients to support ongoing monitoring of chronic conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma.
Through the partnership, Topcon Healthcare will combine its imaging, AI analytics, and connected-care platforms with RemoniHealth’s remote-monitoring technology. RemoniHealth reported more than 120,000 monitored care encounters and noted that its platform supports CMS Category I Remote Patient Monitoring and Principal Care Management reimbursement pathways.
The companies also plan a pathway to integrate RemoniHealth’s capabilities into Harmony®, Topcon Healthcare’s cloud-based connected-care platform, linking in-clinic diagnostics with home-based monitoring and remote care management.
