Volume-reducing adaptor for eyedrop bottles sees rapid growth

Ophthalmology 360

Nanodropper, a patient-centered, volume-reducing adaptor for eyedrop bottles, has experienced an 832% increase in clinic partnerships and expansion to more than 840 clinics over the last 12 months, according to a company press release.

It is now available in 49 states and Puerto Rico.

The Nanodropper, which fits 99% of all eyedrop bottles, creates an ideal eye drop size compared to the ones release by the typical prescription eyedrop bottles which are 5 times too large for the eye to absorb. This extends the life of the medication, reducing medical waste and lowering costs to patients.

“Thinking back on the summer of 2021, right after we attended our first in-person conference as a Nanodropper team, and seeing how much traction Nanodropper has gained over the last year truly exemplifies the priority the healthcare industry is putting on value-based care,” said Allisa Song, Co-founder and CEO of Nanodropper in the press release. “We have a lot of milestones coming up, including the launch of our next Adaptor, which will address additional eye drop prescription needs, the publication of our clinical trials, and new partnerships with healthcare providers, all while continuing to prioritize the needs of the patient first.”
