New World Medical receives 510(k) clearance for the VIA360 Surgical System

New World Medical has received FDA 510(k) clearance for its VIA360 Surgical System, designed to enhance precision in ophthalmic surgeries, according to a company press release.

The system features proprietary ActiveInject Technology, allowing surgeons to deliver viscoelastic fluid on demand, independent of catheter movement. Its microcatheter can advance up to 360 degrees, facilitating targeted delivery during procedures.

The company plans to launch the VIA360 immediately in the U.S. market.
